Great Slave Sunset

One of the best things about living North of 60 is the light. There is definitely something unique about it – a broad, soft pastel palette. Today I dashed out from doing renovations at home to try and make some photos of a great sundog, but alas, by the time I got out it was gone. Sometimes just getting out there is the best thing to do, because you can always find something interesting or beautiful if you look. As it turned out, it was a rather spectacular sunset and I came away with these images as my favourites. Did any other YKer's get shots of the sundog yesterday?
