Sometimes the weather doesn't play along at all... in fact, I've had to reschedule several shoots of late due to all of the rain. Sometimes, it's not terrible, but not bad enough to cancel a photoshoot. This was one of those nights. We had hoped for a gorgeous sunny day on the beach, but we got stuck with 'ummm it might rain any minute' kind of clouds and some heavy wind. So, we try to turn lemons into lemon aid with the help of some camera trickery, a tough young woman and some awesome parents to hold light stands!

We chose l'aboiteau beach for our shoot since it offered us several options for looks. Abbie is a very skilled volleyball player, so we made some fun beach volleyball photos. Abbie did great at making the other portraits look warm and comfortable... very beachy... not cool and windy. She was a real treat to work with and I think that her hard work really shows in the images.
